How To Repair Avast Installation
If certain application components and features are not working properly in Avast Free Antivirus or Avast Premium Security, we recommend you repair your installation using the Avast Setup sorcerer. Installation repair is recommended to resolve the following bug with your Avast application:
- Certain features are not working.
- A scan is stuck mid-progress.
- An application update fails.
When you repair your Avast awarding, some customized settings may return to their default configurations.
Instructions
- Ensure that no other applications are running on your PC.
- Right-click the Windows Get-go button and select Apps and Features from the menu that appears.
- Ensure Apps & features is selected in the left panel, then click Avast Free Antivirus or Avast Premium Security, and select Uninstall.
- On your keyboard, press the

central simultaneously, and so select Programs and Features from the menu that appears. - Right-click Avast Free Antivirus or Avast Premium Security, and so select Uninstall from the drop-downwardly carte.
- Click the Windows Commencement push button and select Control Panel.
- Nether Programs, click Uninstall a program if you are using the default category view, ...or click Programs and Features if you are using the big/small icons view.
- Right-click Avast Free Antivirus or Avast Premium Security, then select Uninstall from the driblet-downwardly carte.
- If prompted for permission by the User Account Command dialog, click Yes.
- When the Avast Setup wizard appears, click Repair.
- Wait while setup repairs your Avast application.
- If prompted, click Restart computer to immediately re-boot your PC and complete the repair. If a restart is not necessary, click Done.
If certain application components and features are not working properly in Avast I, we recommend you repair your installation using the Avast Setup wizard. Installation repair is recommended to resolve the following problems with Avast One:
- Certain features are not working.

When you repair Avast One, some customized settings may return to their default configurations.
Instructions

- Click the Windows Start button and select Command Panel.
- Under Programs, click Uninstall a program if y'all are using the default category view, ...or click Programs and Features if you are using the large/small icons view.
- Correct-click Avast I, then select Uninstall/Alter from the drop-down menu.
- If prompted for permission by the User Account Control dialog, click Yes.
- When the Avast Setup magician appears, click Repair.
- Click Yes to authorize the repair.
- Wait while setup repairs Avast One.
- If prompted, click Restart computer to immediately re-kick your PC and consummate the repair. If a restart is non necessary, click Done.
